Strengthening Postgraduate Supervision

The workshop consisted on 4 sessions taking place throughout the year. It was hosted by the Department of Health Sciences Education, for Supervisors in the department. Supervisors explored the following topics: power dynamics and social justice issues in postgraduate supervision, the local and international context of postgraduate supervisors and impact on supervisors/students, the overview of key documentation nationally and institutionally that frames postgraduate supervisors, scholarly development and community of practice, practices of supervision and processes of supervision.
