Employment equity (EE) and equity in the work place has come under closer scrutiny over the past few years – particularly in answer to the call for staff transformation at the university. In response to this need Letatia Kiewitzs, a member of the Department of Health Science Education’s Transformation Committee and an EE rep, proposed that the Transformation Committee organise an EE Rep training workshop, with an open invitation extended to the whole department.

The workshop took place on the 10th of November 2017 and was facilitated by Lucinda Reddy from the office for Inclusivity and Change (previously Transformation Services), which falls under DVC for Transformation, Professor Loretta Feris’, portfolio
