Southern Theory, Feminism and Knowledge Production...

The Department of Health Sciences Education hosted a seminar on “Southern Theory, Feminism and Knowledge Production in South Africa” presented by Professor Robert Morrell.  The discussion focussed on overt and hidden power relations in the processes of knowledge production and dissemination, as well as the role of ‘southern theory’ as a useful concept for challenging the predominance of theorisation from the north.
