The six main research subdivisions within the Division of Virology are:

• HIV Diversity
• Genital Mucosal and STI (GEMS)
• HIV/TB Immunology and Pathogenesis
• Human Papillomaviruses
• Poxviral Vaccine Vectors
• Clinical and Diagnostic Virology Research

The groups have their own focus areas, but work together as a team, and some staff work in more than one area.
