Dr Ruth Levin-Vorster
Dr. Ruth Levin-Vorster is a Relationship Specialist (PhD in Neuroscience) in private practice, specialising in emotional triggers and regulation, relational and attachment patterns, self-awareness, and parts integration.
She developed the Relationship Resonance Framework (RRF), an experiential and embodied approach designed to strengthen awareness of emotional triggers and relational patterns in stressful relationships with practical tools for emotion regulation and compassionate communication. Her doctoral research in UCT’s Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health evaluated the framework as a behavioural intervention for relational health, contributing to the fields of third-wave Mindfulness-Based Interventions and Contemplative Science.
Dr. Levin-Vorster works with individuals and couples, using the Relationship Resonance Framework and integrating Schema Therapy and Kristin Neff’s work on Self-Compassion. She gives talks and facilitates workshops on relational health.
For the Ethics Lab at UCT, she designed Buffer Burnout with (Self) Compassion, a course for healthcare workers. She was recently appointed Head of Department of Relational Therapy at Healing Destinations, which provides multidisciplinary mental health and recovery programmes.
