Palesa Malema
Palesa Malema is a researcher working on “Return of Results in Incidental Findings in Genetics Research in South Africa” at the University of Cape Town (UCT). With a BSc in Medical Sciences, she majored in Human Genetics during her honors at the University of Limpopo, and is currently pursuing an MSc in Medicine, specializing in Bioethics. Palesa is passionate about the intersection of genetics and ethics, aiming to make significant contributions to how genetic research impacts individuals and communities.
Beyond her academic pursuits, Palesa enjoys the company of dogs, finds comfort in a good cup of coffee, and has recently discovered a love for hiking. Exploring mountains offers her a refreshing escape from her research and a new way to challenge herself.
