How can bioethics be enriched by critical forms of scholarships, histories, and theories?

The EthicsLab is hosting a thought-provoking, three-day, in-person workshop that examines the interconnected crises of pandemics and climate change, convened by Drs Donna Andrews and Marlyn Faure.

Climate change & pandemics, co-producing crisis: How can bioethics be enriched by critical forms of scholarships, histories, and theories? This workshop brings together scholars from various disciplinary backgrounds, primarily from the global South, to discuss how bioethics could be informed by critical approaches in the social sciences and humanities. The objective is to map how can bioethics both strengthen and guide current research, and also set the moral and ethical trajectory of research and services regarding pandemics and the climate crisis, thus making bioethics more robust and relevant.
