March 1, Scholarset, the leading academic social network of scientists, engineers and scholars based in China, announced its 2017 Research Ranking of Global Universities (RRGU) today. Harvard tops the list of 300 elite research universities, followed by MIT and Stanford. University of California, Berkeley moves up one position compared to 2016, and completes the top five with Johns Hopkins.

According to the ranking, Sun Yet-sen University ranks at No. 213, and University of Cape Town ranks at No. 245.
