Development work takes time and trust and so we are intentional about not rushing a process. We follow and respect the pace of the community so that we all grow and develop deep roots for change but as the development progresses, so do the obstacles and they often set us back many strides.

We need your support and value developing partnerships.

Many of the initiatives that communities design require funding. While we and communities do consider ways to access funding and resources the  communities often lack the resources to be able to do this without the support that the university offers. Resources needed are simple and often what people take for granted. For example in the Zeekoevlei story, we are needing board games and storage for stationery, arts and craft supplies, etc. Every site and process has different financial and support needs for different purposes. If you wish to partner financially with a community, please contact us.

We value collaborative practice and we recognise the need for other skills and knowledges that the community needs which we as OTs cannot offer. This work is deeply meaningful and the relationships we have established in communities are invaluable. You will have an opportunity to walk a journey with people from all backgrounds, have the privilege of crossing boundaries and pushing your understanding of citizenship and use your skills to make a sustainable difference. You will truly walk away with the community embedded in you; and also be part of a process of real sustainable change. If you would like to partner with us in any way, please contact us. If you are a professional who is interested in exploring this type of practice or would like to connect with us, please contact us or follow us on our socials.
