Professor Bongani Mawethu Mayosi was an outstanding clinician, scientist and teacher. His significant contributions to research, teaching, training and health policy have been recognized through the numerous national and international accolades bestowed on him. His commitment to academic excellence, collaboration and social transformation, influenced and inspired many.

The exhibition Celebrating the Bongani Mayosi Legacy is a collaborative initiative between UCT Libraries and the Faculty of Health Sciences, in a befitting and tangible way:

To showcase via In His Footsteps, the groundbreaking work of the Bongani Mayosi Research Collaborative, an interdisciplinary platform spearheaded by four of his doctoral graduates driving research in the area of cardiovascular disease in Africa, and which is designed to see Bongani Mayosi’s vision to completion, and beyond.
