The SAMRC/CPUT Cardiometabolic Health Research Unit this year will be hosting a symposium on the 9th November 2023 at the CPUT Hotel School, Granger Bay Cape Town ( close to the V& A Waterfront). The event will be from 8am till 5pm. The symposium is titled "Cardiometabolic Health in a technological era". The four main sessions at the symposium are: Artificial Intelligence, Medical devices and POCT, e-health and personalized medicine. There will also be a keynote address from Prof Faadiel Essop [from the Division of Medical Physiology (Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences) at Stellenbosch University (South Africa) / Director (and co-founder) of the Centre for Cardio-metabolic Research Centre in Africa (CARMA) at Stellenbosch University]. Additionally, two members of industry, Lasec and Anatech Instruments, will be present at the event to meet with attendees.
