The Division of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Cape Town is proud to celebrate the contributions of Dr Tania de Villiers, who was invited to deliver a keynote address at the Western Cape College of Nursing on 12 May 2025, International Nurses Day.

Dr de Villiers’ keynote address underscored the importance of investing in the wellbeing and professional development of nurses, while reinforcing the Division’s commitment to advancing nursing and midwifery education, research, and practice that serves communities across the Western Cape and beyond.

This invitation reflects the high esteem in which Dr de Villiers and the University of Cape Town’s Nursing and Midwifery programmes are held by provincial health authorities and nursing education institutions.
