On 6 May 2025, the Division of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Cape Town came together to celebrate International Day of the Midwife and International Nurses Day.

This joint commemoration recognised the invaluable contributions of midwives and nurses to healthcare, both locally and globally, and highlighted the Division’s commitment to excellence in education, research, and practice in these vital professions.
