On 13 March 2026, our Nephrology Nursing team and students joined the global celebration of World Kidney Day, observed this year under the theme: “Kidney Health for All: Caring for People, Protecting the Planet.”

Marking the 20th anniversary of the campaign, the day provided an important platform to raise awareness about chronic kidney disease, promote prevention and early detection, and highlight the link between kidney health and environmental sustainability.

Activities included patient education sessions, community health talks, awareness displays, and educational outreach focused on lifestyle measures to protect kidney health, the importance of regular screening, and sustainable practices in kidney care.

Our team’s active participation reflects the department’s strong commitment to kidney health advocacy, nursing education, and community engagement.
