Dear Colleagues

We are entering that time of the year during which each of us reflects on our performance and the extent to which we have made a contribution to the Faculty and University enterprise. Ndiyabulela kuni nonke basebenzi be-Health Sciences. Indawo yethu ikhanyiswa yimizamo nokusebenzisana kwethu.

I would like to draw your attention to the commencement of the Development Dialogue performance review process with members of the Professional, Administrative, and Support Staff (PASS). I encourage each of us to pause and consider what these conversations truly represent and to approach these conversations as an opportunity to connect meaningfully, to acknowledge progress, and to look ahead with shared purpose.

While PASS performance awards (including Exceeds Awards and Discretionary Bonuses) remain paused for the 2025–2026 cycle, the Development Dialogue process remains an important part of fostering performance, development, and meaningful engagement. The performance category of "Exceeding" continues to be part of the assessment framework for this assessment cycle and should be applied where appropriate.

Thank you for your continued commitment, professionalism, and the passion you bring to our community every day.
